Easter Dog Bone Hunt
April 4, 2026 | Noon - Join us for a tail-wagging good time at the Van Wert Community Dog Park. Bring your dog to hunt treat-filled easter eggs. We will also have prizes, a raffle, and a photo op with the Easter Bunny. Cost is $10 donation.

Note: All dogs must be friendly and up-to-date on vaccinations.
VWC Fair Week
Sept. 1-Sept. 7, 2026 | Van Wert, OH - Find us in the Commercial Building at the Van Wert Fairgrounds during Fair Week. Meet adoptable dogs and cats, load up on Van Wert County Humane Society gear (shirts, stickers, logoed merch, etc.), learn how you can get involved, and meet volunteers and board members.
Bag Bingo
Oct. 10, 2026 | Van Wert, OH - Our Bag Bingo will return to the Van Wert County Jr. Fair Building. More details to come.
Pet Photos with Santa
Dec. 5, 2026 | 10AM-Noon - Santa Paws is BACK! Stop by Van Wert Rural King from 10AM-Noon on Dec. 6 to get your pet's photo with Santa. A $10 sitting fee per pet will directly support the Van Wert County Humane Society. Please make sure all dogs are leashed and all small animals are contained. Pets must be UTD on vaccinations and friendly. Please pick up after your pet.
